ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to study the contribution of modern communication equipment to job efficiency of the secretary. The purpose also is to achieve the following objectives.
(a) To find out the extent lack of knowledge of modern equipment has gone
(b) To determine the extent the high cost of modern communication equipment has gone
(c) To ascertain the extent the lack of maintenance culture has gone over modern communication equipmenrt.
It is therefore very important to cell on modern secretaries to be familiar with the use of modern communication equipment like word processing forstoring information from one end to the other, inter- communication equipment for transmission of informat to another person within the same office. Identification of information circulation in line with the view expressed by secretaries and management Journal (1990) which states that modern communication equipment creates opportunities for social literation communication and solidarity among members of an organization
It is the hope of the researcher that if modern secretaries will be familiar with these modern communication equipment in line with the view of these modern scholars, the modern secretaries will be better.
