The study "Effective marketing of Fertilizer" was carried out to see how effective marketing of fertilizer is being conducted with the aim of proposing
guidelines and preferring solutions to curb any deficiency that may arise in the course of marketing fertilizer selected dealers in (PZ) Zaria were taken as case study.
Data for this study were collected through administration of questionnaires and personal interviews with the fertilizer dealers.
The research revealed among others things that most dealers in fertilizer
marketing have profit motives as a major reason for staying in business. Most of
their relationship were based on personal contacts rather than established official
contacts.
The research further emphasized and addressed the problems of fertilizer
marketing/distribution, policy implementation and suggested measures for
alleviating the problems through timely and constant delivery of the product to
farmers.
