ABSTRACT
Today, the muslims society is witnessing a deterition in Islamic teachings on morality and other injunctions Drought by the holy prophet (S.A.W). It has been observed in the previous years that it was because of lack of Islamic knowledge that all these immoralities are increasing in the society now that more than the number expected have acquired the basic Islamic knowledge out still the immoralities are there. It is because of this, that, the idea of Islamic theological centre came into being. It is the aim of this thesis to design an Islamic theological centre which will be a medium to provide an architectural environment suitable both in form and content for the preservation of the muslim personality and dignity. It is hoped it will serve as a spiritual centre where all corrupted minds will be spiritualised Islamically. Architecturally, on examination of Islamic architecture around the world will be made to see whether it is a history of form and style or it is a product of cultural and environmental factors, and an expressions of the way of life of the people it serves. Finally the center will be designed in the regional context of Hausa-land and architecture through the assimilation of Islamic architectural principles with Hausa architectural concepts and forms.
