ABSTRACT
The study was an attempt to examine utilization of resources and its. impact on the performance of JSS students in social studies in Katsina state. It sought to establish how effective the teacher was in the task of teaching delivery as a result of utilization of resources. The impact of the utilization of these resources had on the performance of JSS students in - social studies was established. From the findings of the study the teacher of social studies was incapacitated by a number of factors. These included shortage of resources for capacity building which led to utilization of few resources. This was comfounded by the teachers failure' to improvise. As a result the social studies teacher dominated the teaching and learning process. This could be partly responsible for the limited impact utilization of resources had on the performance students in social studies in Katsina state.
