A modified likert scale questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. Instrument was validated using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC). And the reliability index was found to be 0.83. Chi-square was used to test the 7 null hypotheses that were tested at 0.5% alpha significant level. Findings emanated from the testing of hypotheses shows that; Adult Education Literacy programme has significant positive impact on the literacy level of the nonliterate adult population in Benue state at (P=0.03). Both teachers/facilitators and supervisors have the same level of opinion on the adequacy of teaching methods which has significant positive impact in the teaching of adult education at (P=0.00) among others. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that; government should improve access to literacy skills of the non-literate adults in Benue State, the facilitators should perfect the teaching of addition, subtraction and division of numbers as this aspect was found to be the least part of numeracy impact on the adult education learners among others.
