ABSTRACTA 60-day growth trial was conducted using 70 Large White x Landrace (LW x LD) piglets with initial average weight of 11.67 kg and fed diets in which wheat offals replaced sorghum as energy source (weight for weight basis). Pigs were randomly allotted based on sex and weights and treatments assigned to pens. Pigs were fed ad libitum the treatment diets containing wheat offals at 0, 18.75, 37.5, 56.25 and 75% levels. Performance of pigs in terms of feed intake and weight gain were similar. Feed:gain ratio was significantly (P<0.05) better in pigs fed 75% wheat offals compared to the control diet. Cost of feed/kg. gain was significantly (P<0.05) lowered at every level of replacement of sorghum with wheat offals. A 30-day finishing trial was conducted using 60 Large White x Landrace (LW x LD) pigs with initial average weight of I4.0.08 kg and fed diets in which wheat offals replaced sorghum as energy source in finishing ration. Pigs were randomly allotted to pens based on sex and initial weight. Treatments were allotted to pens in two replications. Pigs were fed ad-libitum. Treatment diets in which wheat offals replaced sorghum weight for weight at 0, 20.55,41.10, 61.65 and 82.2% in the diets were tested. Results showed that -
