ABSTRACT
Security men play a very important role of protecting lives and properties of people in different places, including residential, industrial or other places of work. Hut due to inadequate provision of facilities that would make their work easy and effective. they face many problems that affect the quality of their service which sometimes lead to inability to discharge their duties well. Ibis thesis therefore, is a Design and Construction of Electronics Security assistant which could be used lor enhancing the performance ol security men. It includes a two terminal intercommunication between the securit) man and his employer when the need arises. There is an Automatic emergency light that conies on when the mains power supply tails and goes off when the mains power supply is on. The system also contains Door/ Gate alarm section which gives out an alarm when an unauthorized person tries to open the door gate. There is a IX motor direction controller that could be used by the security man to open and close the gale(s) from his office laser beam trespassers alarm is also included tor alerting the security man that someone is closing gate path of the beam within the premises. In addition the system has an automatic nighl light portion which turns on the security light automatically in the night and switches it off in the morning, finally, there is a morning alarm that alerts the security man in the morning to switch oil some sections that are need only in the night. This system was developed and tested and its performance was satisfactory
