ABSTRACT
This study presents marketing of life assurance policies in Nigeria problems and prospects. The importance of life assurance business in the state cannot be over â€" emphasized, it could be seen that the problem facing marketing of life assurance in the state are numerous. All these problems contributed in so small measure in the low rate of purchase of life assurance policies. Life assurance business in the state has the largest share of funds occurring to it than the ones occurring non-life business. This was according to statistics data presented by the National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria in 1983. Insurance companies have encountered numerous setbacks in marketing life assurance business but this could be solved if some or all the suggested solutions recommendations, in this project are embarked upon. They will go a long way in redeeming its badly shattered public image and also cast into the minds of the general public the urgent need for embarking the insurance services. It will also make them to be less skeptical about the operations of the insurance industry in the state.
All these measures will contribute in no small way in reducing the problem of marketing life assurance in the state.
