ABSTRACT
This research is title "The Application of Linear Programming in the Projection of Profits for a Private Telecommunication Operator". (A Case Study of
Intercellular Nigeria Limited). The research focuses on how profit can be projected either through the product mix decision of cost minimization or profit
maximization. Information on the research is based on documented data extracted from the books of Intercellular Nigeria Limited. In other words, the research relies
heavily on secondary data. The first chapter is an overview of the study, the statement of problem, objectives, scope, significance and limitations of the study. Two hypotheses were drawn to be tested against each other. The second chapter is a review of relevant literatures. The rest of the chapter focused on the theoretical framework of linear programming and that of profits. Chapter three explained the research methodology applied. The fourth chapter is a data analysis. The fifth chapter explained the results obtained in the previous chapter. It concludes by giving recommendations on the application of linear programming and how it aids
managers of businesses to project with certainty, their profits or loss as the case may be.
